Cash register rolls

My sister was working as shop assistant and – because it was one of the most popular shops in our town - they need very often to change cash register rolls. Her duty was to buy cash register rolls as often as it was needed. Because of a big choice, she often didn't know, which to get. Her chef wanted of course the cheappest but - at the same time - the best.

Anyway, her job was a good experience in her carriere. She had found out, how to create her own businnes. And after two years she started to lead a shop. Her dream was to own shop with clothes - as many girls in her age. Unfortunatelly, she didn't manage to do it. Now she has a shop with paper items for printing and so on. And - of course - with cash register rolls ;)

I was the person who helped her to do everything well. I tried to fix all shop, offices, to find suppliers and lead accounting. Since begginnig of her "chef carriere" I've taken also responsability for human resources - I was a manager.

And it was my step to carriere. Now I'm a executive manager in very big drugstore and I appreciate what I've learned in my sister business. I know rules in leading shops, I know managments standards and I'm awarness that only very hard work ... works.

There is not so easy to be a subordinate. But - when I look at my sister - I see how difficult to be a boss! As a manager I'm someone between this two function. I see strenghtnes and weaknesses of both positions.
